We story-boarded and built an animation for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport as part of their ‘free wifi’ campaign. The project saw over 1000 public buildings in cities across the UK transformed into free wifi hotspots and was part of their larger #BuildingBritain campaign. The animation package included a 45 second animation and a 6 second Vine of the final sequence.
As well as the animation Drench supported the campaign by providing social media graphics to be used by public organisations, making their followers aware they were taking part in the campaign. We also provided a static graphic of the final animation frame to be used on the DCMS’s blog post covering the campaign actions.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for your help with this campaign! Everyone is really complimenting your work!A Downey, DCMS
The storyboards for the animation first had to go through a meeting at number 10 before being approved. As well as great feedback the animation also received impressive coverage, and was posted on Number 10’s official Facebook page and distributed through DCMS’s social media platforms.
